BRISBANE have made three changes to the side embarrassed by the Western Bulldogs last week with ruckman Matthew Leuenberger recalled for Saturday's clash with Adelaide at the Gabba.

Leuenberger, tagger Andrew Raines and utility Ryan Lester have been added to the Lions squad with Matt Maguire (calf), Billy Longer (omitted) and Aaron Cornelius (omitted) dropping out.

Leuenberger played his last home-and-away match for Brisbane in Round 3 last year and has been battling Achilles, back and calf problems.

After coming through a reserves match unscathed last weekend, Leuenberger has been given the all-clear to rejoin the senior side.

Senior coach Michael Voss was unsure if he would wield the axe in the wake of the humiliating Round 1 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs but Longer and Cornelius have paid the price for the loss.

Cornelius has been quiet since a blistering start to the NAB Cup pre-season competition while Longer is an unlucky casualty given he battled manfully to hold his own in the ruck against the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, former Fremantle defender Greg Broughton will miss the Gold Coast's clash with Sydney at the SCG.

Broughton injured his calf at training and will be replaced by Jack Hutchins in the only change to the Suns side that beat St Kilda by 13 points.
