FREMANTLE has named second-year forward Hayden Crozier to replace firebrand Hayden Ballantyne for Saturday's clash against the Western Bulldogs.
Ballantyne is serving a one-match ban out of the Western Derby, while ruckman-forward Zac Clarke was overlooked because of a calf injury.
Coach Ross Lyon said he was confident Crozier, who has put on 10kg since arriving at the club less than 18 months ago, would do a good job.
"We're excited to have him in," Lyon said.
"He's got real speed and skill but he's added a determination and a work ethic to that and he's been embraced because of that."
Lyon said he was not surprised by the Bulldogs' first-up belting of Brisbane last weekend and said the Dockers had prepared for the match like it was a grand final.
"I think they've flown under the radar a bit," he said.
"They're really well coached and have some strong leadership."
Lyon was confident his players would be up for the challenge following a 14-day break after their Round 1 win over West Coast.
"You never know till that ball's bounced but we feel like we've prepared really well," he said.
"We always aim to train well and there's a real enthusiasm for going away to Melbourne.
"It's our first interstate for points this year so we're a bit excited about it."
Crozier booted three goals for Peel last week to be among his side's best in a losing effort.
Tom Sheridan and Jack Hannath will travel as emergencies.
The Bulldogs are unchanged after a thumping 68-point win over Brisbane last week, with skipper Matthew Boyd remaining on the sidelines.
